Mountain guiding & navigation
I am a qualified Mountain Leader, an approved British Exploring Society Leader, and National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) tutor, with membership of professional bodies Mountain Training and Mountaineering Scotland. I am also a guide for Walking Women, and hold valid Outdoor First Aid certification.
My services:
- plan and lead walks
- tutoring on NNAS Bronze and Silver Awards
- tutoring/mentoring to develop or refresh navigation skills including night navigation
- advice on clothing, equipment and on wild camping safely – particularly for solo women hikers
Walks can be with just one person or a group, for one day or several days, can involve wild camping or staying in bothy or mountain hut, and can be in lowland or highland areas.
I am based in Scotland but may also lead walks elsewhere in the UK specifically Lake District, Peak District and Snowdonia.
